Class Exercise
Examples of Good and Bad advertisements that evoke certain emotions.
Today's class was really helpful, it was interesting to see what my classmates chose to be good and bad advertisements.
Happiness
After looking into emotions and the effect they have on the viewer and how they represent the product. I'm now looking into an existing brand I could come up with an illustration.
Being an illustrator, I want to push myself in creating an advert by doing an illustration.
Advertisement Examples
Coca Cola
Currently being about 125 years old and the biggest drink company in the world, Coke's marketing strategies have produced some volatility over the long-haul, but part of that is due to the willingness of The Coca-Cola Company® to innovate.

NikeNike is the number 1 manufacturer and marketer of athletic footwear and apparel. Nike successfully relied on large print and television advertising campaigns that celebrated a single hit, whether it be one of their new products or one of their sponsors. The taglines “Just Do It” and “Bo Knows” became synonymous with the Nike brand, instantly recognizable. http://www.ramnathjk.com/advertising/nike-marketing-strategy-how-nike-does-itA collection of cool product advertisements I found online

Different methods to Advertise
Direction: Awareness campaign for the Environment
Green Peace Advertisement:
Sad Environmental Images:
I have decided to digitally illustrate a set of Illustrations to show the effects of human impact on the environment.
"A not so happy ending" - Plastic ocean
There are various spheres of influence of Anthropocene such as the use of plastics in our day to day life. Because plastic doesn’t decompose and is extremely hard to break down, its impact has been unfavorable as microplastics infiltrate the Earth’s oceans, promoting the unavoidable nickname “plasticine”.
I want to illustrate this in a way to reach a younger target audience.
Using Disney Princess Icons and placing them in "our reality".
After the class presentation and critique, my tutor suggested I do another piece to emphasize my aim.

Final Product
Because Green Peace isn't government funded, they rely solely on donations to make changes. So it makes sense that most their advertising would be on Social media pages such as Facebook & Instagram. To prevent people scrolling pass I encompassed a strong amount of colour to make the adverts stand out. By using Disney icons it creates a sense of nostalgia. Putting them in our environmental chaos creates sadness/awareness. which is what Green Peace aims to do.
